An Open Science Taster

This workshop will introduce the many pillars of Open Science while focusing on open data and open access publishing for food and nutrition scientists.
- We will introduce you to EOSC, the European Open Science Cloud and to the FNS-Cloud project, building a Food Nutrition Security Cloud.
- We will cover GDPR and licensing for sharing data, and open data repositories.
- We will cover the characteristics of the colourful - green, gold, black - open access publishing roads and the motivations for publishing open access.
The workshop is interactive with most of the time spent on individual and small group exercises, including to examine some of the controversies and challenges in open science. Please be sure you have a webcam.
Registration fee is included with your ISEKI-Food 2021 registration but the number of attendees is limited to the first 15 requests. Those who successfully complete the workshop will receive an FNS-Cloud certificate.
