Evaluation
Student competition: Oral presentations – evaluation criteria:
• 20 points: The type of presentation is relevant for the topic. Technical terms are well-defined
• 20 points: The paper is well structured, presents clearly, the methods of analysis / research, the results
and conclusions
• 20 points: Research work is innovative. Excellence of research work presented
• 20 points: Presentation contains accurate information relevant to the overall message/ purpose.
The dynamic of the presentation.
• 20 points: Visual aids are well prepared, informative, effective, and not distracting. Clear English
Student competition: Poster & short oral presentation (4 slides)- evaluation criteria
• 20 points: The type of presentation is relevant for the topic. Technical terms are well-defined
• 20 points: Research work is innovative. Excellence of research work presented
• 20 points: The poster is well structured, clearly presents the analysis / research methods, the results
and the conclusions
• 20 points: Quality of writing and illustrations.
• 10 points: Introduction is attention-getting, lays out the problem well, and establishes a framework for the rest
of the presentation
• 10 points: Visual aids are well prepared, informative, effective, and not distracting. Clear English
A maximum of 2 abstracts for each first author can be submitted.
